Cozy Queer Yoga at Green Yogi (Every Monday+Wednesday 7:45-9pm)

  • Green Yogi 2807 Telegraph Avenue Berkeley, CA, 94705 United States (map)

Cozy Queer Yoga is a community space to unwind, heal, and connect with queer peers and allies. This is a family friendly space allowing youth aged 9+ to join and feel part of the collective. Each class is improvised based on what students share about how they are landing that day - sometimes the class is slower and more gentle, while other days it centers strength, balance, or releasing tension from target areas. At the end of class you have the option to be tucked in with a blanket or just enjoy the candlelit room as you settle into your savasana. On your way out, Sola offers hugs and welcomes feedback on what worked for you or what you might need for the next class.

Expect to leave feeling balanced and less exhausted than you arrived. Sola sequences classes to regulate the nervous system and support mental health and clarity. Classes include basic yogic philosophy, postures, breath work, meditation, and song. Using core principals of Accessible Yoga, this class is perfectly suited for new and intermediate students.

Led by Sola Habibi (they/them), a Bay Area-raised wellness entrepreneur, community organizer, and emerging author dedicated to cultivating healing spaces for QT+BIPOC communities. They run programs including: Forest Yoga and Yoga for Organizers, immersive experiences that promote resilience, connection, and land stewardship. Their work embodies a vision of interconnectedness, where healing and justice are pursued through shared purpose and mutual care. Sola is a queer non-binary Palestinian, Ecuadorian, and Italian queer immigrant with more than 15 years of practicing yoga.
