So many of us feel stuck in our everyday lives. We think we must do everything perfectly and we fear failure and mess. If this sounds like you, we have created a beautiful space to push past those edges in a low stakes, warm, and playful container. You'll learn how to let go, breathe, and express yourself more freely.
During this half day retreat we will be:
Journaling and painting with accessible prompts
Optional space to share reflections
Finding stillness and beauty in an abundant garden
Moving in an asana (yoga movement) and pranayama (breathwork) practice
Settling, releasing, and closing with the healing effects of sound bowls
Our painting practice invites us to try someting new without fear of judgement. We welcome messiness. We welcome the unknown. We allow our art practice to be intuitive rather than meticulously planned.
Writing, journaling, and reflection creates an opening for easeful art prompts that allow you to put paint on canvas without hesitation. The space is dynamic and offers engaging prompts for people moving through big transitions, are shaping a new life style, or simply want a intimate moment to reflect in nature and community.
After settling into play, we will be releasing through gentle yoga and closing the day with sound healing - unlocking all of the lessons of the day.
The retreat is open to experienced artists, but especially for people who are brand new to visual arts. Yoga is gentle and open to any level of experience.
Facilitated by Sola Habibi and Mellisa Andrada.
